Creating engagement in global awards show

The WeWork Creator Awards was a platform and global event series to recognize and reward creators through $20M in grants.

 
 

Challenge

We needed to set precedence for the first Creator Awards events by engaging diverse members of WeWork while integrating the local flair of each city where the event was held.

Process

We came up with the ‘Creators Market’––an artisan market featuring WeWork members and local makers and influencers from each city.

Outcomes 

  • $50K worth of goods were sold at the first market alone.

  • Press exposure from CBS News, Washingtonian, Dezeen, Cheddar, Bisnow, Tech.Co, and more.

  • Event playbook and was replicated in all following Creator Award events around the world.
